Recorded Crime in London: Heatmap

Data from December 2010 - Source - Blog

Try zooming into your local area and use the sliders below to control the sensitivity and blob size of the heatmap.
Note: You need a fast computer as your browser is rendering up to 90,000 data points!
Uses HTML 5's Canvas tag so does not work with Internet Explorer.

IMPORTANT: Data is generalised by street (or groups of nearby streets) - therefore a hotspot over a particular place
does NOT indicate that a crime occurred at this place, rather that is was recorded as occuring somewhere on or around this street.
Some kinds of reports do not have location information, forces may assign these to a street adjacent to the police station concerned.
